I love to create commissioned work. With more than 30 years’ experience as a potter, both as a hobbyist and now as a working artist, there isn’t a lot I haven’t turned my hand to (pun intended).
In my studio I work primarily on slab-built pots, while also creating my own slips and glazes, making every piece unique, designing colours to suit whatever I’m creating at the time.
I will happily create new pots based on either examples from my current collections, the archive, your own ideas, or even inspiration you have got elsewhere.
But do bear in mind that with the vagaries of clay, slips and glazes, hand-building and the Kiln Gods, all new pieces will be “based upon” rather than exact copies.
